TESTIMONIALS

“My neurodiversity makes concentrating, organising and following instructions tricky. Lucy always explains the sessions so well with clear diagrams, she creates a safe space so that I feel always able to ask if I need help, she shows us what she is creating so that we can take inspiration from her art too.

During that hour I am an artist, I create work I am proud of, my mind is focused and ideas come easily. After the sessions my self esteem is boosted, I feel calm but motivated and I genuinely sleep better that night.

The weekly group provides a safe place to show up (online) with or without your camera and mike on and be an artist.  The group undoubtedly helps my mental health giving me confidence, pleasure and relaxation.”

“The RPS High Schoolers workshop has been such a hit and couldn't have come at a better time. My daughter has been feeling self conscious at speaking out in class at school so seeing her have her voice heard and speaking her voice was a joy to see.  It is clear to see that everyone feels very comfortable in the Rock Paper scissors community.”

“My daughter attends your workshops. She previously suffered from low-self esteem and anxiety. RPS is a huge part of why she is now so creative and confident . Thank you for creating such a safe and loving space for our high schoolers to explore and evolve. Did I tell you she got gifted and talented score for her art at school? Top 5%! She is so proud. Lots of credit to RPS.”

“I have great fun at Sketchbook club. I always learn something new - Lulu is such a great guide and teacher. Such a lovely and supportive group, and a relaxing space to be myself.”

“Being able to access art through Rock Paper Scissors has not only helped ease my anxiety by focusing my mind during lockdown but has created a sense of community and has provided valuable time to decompress from everyday life, I would recommend the adult sketchbook club and collage club to anyone and everyone.”

‘I enjoy the workshops as they are fun and each week there is something different. I have been introduced to new artists, illustrators, designers and approaches. It is relaxed and supportive group that gives me a little window of time to do something creative for myself.  So good for the soul!’
